Opabinia regalis was one of the weirdest creatures of the Burgess Shale. It had 5 eyes, a mouth under its head and a 'nozzle' that was used to pass food to the mouth. Obabinia probably lived on the seafloor, seeking out food with its proboscis. It's weird appearance made the audience laugh when it was first presented!
Opabinia is an early arthropod, distantly related to modern day crabs and lobsters. It's known from the Middle Cambrian of the Burgess Shale (Canada), Australia and most recently, Wales.
